In<\/span> 2025, <\/span>nine<\/span> young<\/span> riders<\/span> aged<\/span> 11 to 18 <\/span>will<\/span> be<\/span> part of the Speed <\/span>category<\/span>, <\/span>supported<\/span> by <\/span>eight<\/span> scholars in the <\/span>Supermoto<\/span> league<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2025 sports <\/span>season<\/span> is<\/span> fast <\/span>approaching<\/span> and promises to <\/span>be<\/span> another<\/span> exciting<\/span> year<\/span> for the <\/span>Belgian<\/span> Motorcycle<\/span> Academy<\/span> (BMA). <\/span>Founded<\/span> in<\/span> 2020 by the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Motocycliste Wallonne de Belgique (FMWB), <\/span>Zelos<\/span>\/MIG, Mettet XP \u2013 Circuit Jules <\/span>Tacheny<\/span>, and the <\/span>Belgian<\/span> Motorcycle<\/span> Fund<\/span>, the <\/span>academy<\/span> will<\/span> line up a total of 17 <\/span>promising<\/span> young<\/span> talents. <\/span>They<\/span> will<\/span> participate<\/span> in a <\/span>variety<\/span> of national and continental <\/span>competitions<\/span>, <\/span>driven<\/span> by a collective <\/span>desire<\/span> to <\/span>learn<\/span> and <\/span>progress<\/span> towards<\/span> the <\/span>pinnacle<\/span> of <\/span>motorcycle<\/span> sport.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Road Racing: On the Path to MotoGP<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Founded in 2020, the Northern Talent Cup has become the premier competition for aspiring young riders from Central and Northern Europe. The Belgian Motorcycle Academy (BMA) has participated in every edition, standing out as one of the best teams with a total of six victories. This year, three representatives from BMA will once again join the ranks of the participants.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Leading the selection is Tom Rolin (Agimont, 15 years old), who secured a race win last year. This promising Belgian rider will be joined by Lorenzo Pontillo (Gosselies, 16 years old), aiming to improve his record of 39 points earned in 2024. Completing the trio is Zenno Bult\u00e9 (Denderhoutem, 15 years old), who recently finished sixth in the Yamaha bLU cRU Benelux R3 Cup.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Formerly a competitor in the Northern Talent Cup, where he finished fourth last year, Ferre Fleerackers (Aarschot, 18 years old) is moving on to a new challenge. He will compete in the prestigious British Superbike Championship (BSB) in the Sportbike category. After making his debut in this category in 2024, he achieved a podium finish right away!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Several students from the Academy are following in their footsteps, gaining experience in the FIM MiniGP Germany. This championship features Ovale motorcycles, which have become the standard for youth training. Like in the NTC, three students from BMA will participate: Romain Even (Ittre, 11 years old) and newcomers Zelko Avart (Gondregnies, 13 years old) and Tiago D\u2019Hondt (Vilvoorde, 12 years old). They will all compete in the OGP 160 category, which represents the highest level of competition available.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, newcomers Tommy Jr. Deschouwer (Zemst, 13 years old) and Miro Masson (Sinaai, 12 years old) will join the KTM Junior Cup. Sponsored by the Austrian manufacturer, this competition is held in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Supermoto: Promoting Young Talent<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Belgian Motorcycle Academy (BMA) has always maintained a special connection with Supermoto. The school is located in Mettet, home to the annual Superbiker event, one of the largest in the discipline. This year, several students will proudly represent the BMA on Belgian tracks, with some aspiring to take the lead roles.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Vice Champion of Belgium in the S3 250cc category, Lucas Stranard (Hanzinelle, 16 years old) has been promoted to the S2 category. Justin Wathlet (Floreffe, 17 years old) will take over from his compatriot after finishing second in the S3 125cc class in 2024. He will race alongside newcomers Pierre Putard (Hanzinne, 16 years old) and Mattia Maimonte (Ville sur Haine, 14 years old), who is the national champion in the S4 85cc division.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Three academy students will aim to succeed Mattia in this category: Lucas Fissette (Vivegnis, 14 years old), Luigi Orsolini (Chapelle-lez-Herlaimon, 12 years old), and newcomer Jean Rondeaux (Rochefort, 11 years old), who was crowned in the S4 65cc category.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As the most experienced rider in the Supermoto division, Evan Gourmet (Braine-L\u2019Alleud, 18 years old) will certainly strive to showcase the BMA colors in Belgium and beyond. He will also compete in the French Championship in the S2 category while sharing his experience with the young academy members.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
