As part of the five-year celebration marking the centenary of the Royal Union Motor Entre Sambre et Meuse, the year 2025 was defined by a series of sporting, public and training-related events that once again confirmed the position of the Jules Tacheny Circuit within the regional landscape and beyond. Mettet XP now looks back on a dense season, structured around a wide range of clearly identified events.<\/p>\n
The two Belgian Championships, in Supermoto<\/strong> and Rallycross<\/strong>, once again set the pace of the season at the Jules Tacheny Circuit. Each year, these competitions attract a growing audience, both from the local region and from further afield, actively contributing to the development of both disciplines.<\/p>\n The Ford Steveny Superbiker<\/strong> once again highlighted the circuit\u2019s international stature. For its 38th edition<\/strong>, the event hosted the final of the S1GP Supermoto World Championship<\/strong>, placing Mettet at the heart of the global Supermoto scene. Held on October 10th, 11th and 12th<\/strong>, the event welcomed nearly 20,000 spectators over the entire weekend<\/strong>, as well as a historic record of 450 registered riders<\/strong>. Alongside the competitions, Mettet XP continued to develop new initiatives aimed at the general public. The Cycling Day<\/strong> and Running Superbiker<\/strong> allowed 200 cyclists<\/strong> to discover the region and 150 runners<\/strong> to take to the legendary Superbiker circuit. Two new events were added to the Mettet XP calendar in 2025. The Mettet XP Open Day<\/strong>, organised on May 1st<\/strong> in collaboration with Le Moniteur Automobile<\/em>, gave the public the opportunity to (re)discover the circuit\u2019s facilities, activities and teams. Nearly 500 cars and motorcycles<\/strong> passed through the site during the event.<\/p>\n On December 13th and 14th<\/strong>, the first edition of Mettet Xmas<\/strong> offered an original programme combining entertainment, sport and the Christmas spirit. Highlights included the visit of the iconic Coca-Cola Christmas Truck<\/strong>, the P\u00e8renomobilbus<\/strong>, a night running event on the circuit<\/strong>, a festive raclette evening<\/strong> at the Michel Fievet Pavilion, and the second edition of the Supermoto Endurance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Now established as two key annual events in Mettet, these initiatives reflect the RUMESM\u2019s commitment to opening the circuit to an ever-wider audience.<\/p>\n In 2025, Mettet XP continued to develop its training hub<\/strong>. Throughout the year, the site hosted numerous sessions dedicated to defensive riding<\/strong>, initiation<\/strong> and advanced driving training<\/strong>, aimed at both private individuals and professionals. Mettet XP thus confirms its ambition to place training at the heart of its activities and public outreach.<\/p>\n These initiatives further demonstrate the RUMESM\u2019s ongoing commitment to innovation and to opening the circuit to a broader public. Germany\u2019s Marc-Reiner Schmidt<\/strong> claimed his eighth victory on the iconic Superbiker of Mettet circuit<\/strong>, while also securing his fifth S1GP world title<\/strong>.
