The 2026 Belgian Supermoto Championship kicks off in Mettet with an unprecedented format

The Circuit Jules Tacheny in Mettet, a true stronghold of Supermoto, will once again host the opening round of the Belgian Supermoto Championship. On March 7 and 8, 2026, the iconic circuit will come alive with an intense weekend of racing, marked this year by a completely new and innovative format.
Mettet is not just any circuit. Every year, it hosts the Ford Steveny Superbiker, the largest Supermoto event in the world, and offers dedicated Supermoto trackdays throughout the winter. It therefore comes as no surprise that the first round of the 2026 Belgian Championship will take place on this emblematic track.
Two days, two rounds, two circuits
The major novelty this season is that each day will count as a separate championship round. Both Saturday and Sunday will feature a full programme including free practice, qualifying sessions and races.
Another major highlight: the circuit layout will be different each day, with two configurations that are 90% different, something never seen before in Mettet. A first that promises to renew the spectacle, increase sporting intensity and require maximum adaptability from the riders.

A major sporting event
Belgium’s top riders will be present to kick off the 2026 season on a track combining technical sections and high-speed parts. This new format will raise the stakes from the very first weekend, with each day becoming a key sporting objective in its own right.
Rider registrations will open soon and the list of entries will be announced on social media.
