World RX of Benelux 2024: Entry list revealed!
The Circuit Jules Tacheny is set to host the third event of the FIA World Rallycross Championship (World RX) season in Belgium on 17 and 18 August, and it promises to be a spectacular affair with some of the sport’s greatest protagonists.
The entry list for the 2024 edition of the World RX of Benelux is now known. As expected, six-time FIA World Rallycross Champion Johan Kristoffersson will be aiming for a second victory in Mettet after his 2017 success, adding to his impressive record in Rallycross. However, he will have to overcome the challenge posed by Finland’s Niclas Grönholm, currently third in the overall standings and a recent winner in Hungary.
Tied with Grönholm, Klara Andersson, the only woman in the running, will also be taking part. Brothers Timmy and Kevin Hansen, other notable contenders, are also worth keeping an eye on. Kevin is just behind Timmy in the Championship. Norwegian Ole Christian Veiby, in second place with 76 points, will be another key competitor at Mettet. In the RX2e category, Nils Andersson leads the hostilities by 16 points over Mikaela Ålhin-Kottulinsky and 19 over Isak Sjökvist.

Euro RX: line-up already confirmed
The line-up for the Euro RX1 and Euro RX3 categories at the World RX de Benelux was made official a few days ago. Patrick O’Donovan leads the Euro RX1 standings against serious challengers such as Mika Liimatainen and team-mate Mikko Ikonen. Notable performances also include the Volland Racing teams and serious contenders such as Sivert Svardal and Máté Benyó. In Euro RX3, Nils Volland and João Ribeiro dominate, while Audi drivers Sámuel Kovács and Balázs Körmöczi promise fierce competition with their impressive speed.

The World RX of Benelux continues the tradition of making this an unforgettable celebration both on and off the track, with the best drivers in the discipline and the After Race Festival on Saturday evening. After a crazy day of racing, celebrate with the drivers until the end of the night!
