The BMA selection day will take place on 9 October
The Belgian Motorcycle Academy (BMA) will be holding a selection day for its class of 2025 on 9 October, with a view to recruiting new students in Supermoto and Speed.
Wednesday 9 October could prove to be a defining moment for the future of motorcycling. The Jules Tacheny circuit in Mettet will host the Belgian Motorcycle Academy selection day from 2pm to 5pm. All those interested, aged between 7 and 17, will be there for three motorbike exercises (their own or those of the academy) and an interview.
The aim of the day is to select the next BMA Speed or Supermoto students. The aim of the academy is to detect, train and guide young talent between the ages of 7 and 17 towards major motorbike competitions through a training programme of at least 35 sessions a year in various disciplines, mainly on Wednesdays, at weekends and during school holidays.
The BMA’s top riders take part in various championships in both speed (Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, Northern Talent Cup, etc.) and supermoto (Belgian and French championships, etc.), with the help of the academy and its partners.
For this October 2024 selection, in addition to age, each candidate is required to know how to control a motorbike and be prepared to take out an annual licence issued by the Fédération Motocycliste Wallonne de Belgique (FMWB). From the age of 11, the application must be accompanied by a sports CV.
Founded by the FMWB, Zelos/MIG, the Circuit Jules Tacheny in Mettet and the Belgian Motorcycle Fund, the BMA is recognised by DORNA and officially integrated into the Road to MotoGP programme. This recognition testifies to the seriousness, expertise and professionalism of the structure.
